A 28 year old artist from Dudley in the West Midlands, she currently have three songs out on all digital platforms “reasons” being my latest release.
Here is what she had to say when we got a chance to ask some questions.
Who were your musical influences growing up?
“Growing up I had a different taste in music. I used to listen to anything from Cleopatra, Charlie Wilson, Brian Mcknight, Alicia Keys etc, I believe that these influences were derived through my father’s taste in music. As I have grown up my musical influences have changed significantly”.
What has been your best gig?
“I will have to admit, I haven’t been to many gigs, it was something I had planned to do more of this year, however if I have to pick one it would be Jhene Aiko as it was an amazing vibe”.
Can you tell us a bit about your music?
“I suppose I can refer to my music as being quite theatrical at times…my new stuff is anyway! I enjoy incorporating fun and quirky melodies with interesting content. My latest single “Reasons” produced by Thomas Mellor evidences this! (Have a listen)”
Describe your music in 3 words.
“Unpredictable, Deep (if you take the time to take in what I am singing about haha!) and interesting”.
What makes your music stand out?
“I think what will make my new music stand out is the constant unpredictability of the melodies and content. It also helps that I have an amazing producer (Thomas Mellor) who takes my acapellas and turns them into movies with his scoring abilities”.
What are your plans for the rest of 2020?
“I have started working on a project that I hope to be released the end of the year. I will also be shooting videos for “Reasons” and the additional two singles I plan to release this year as well as hoping to perform more and to have many more photo shoots!”
If your band had to be remembered for one thing apart from your music what would you want it to be?
“In time I think my music will be remembered for being unpredictable and discussing some very deep taboo subjects”.
Any gig’s coming up?
“Not at yet, as we are all adhering to COVID-19 restrictions, but who knows what the end of the year brings!”
