Lucky Iris have recently released A EP ‘Turns out We Should Have Stayed at Home’, the EP tells a story based on a night out gone wrong, where the protagonists regret ever having gone out in the first place and I think we can all relate to that from one of our nights out back when we were allowed to go out.
On this incredible EP is a jazzy little number called ‘Get Ready With Me’ which I loved straight away after listening to this track once, I honestly didn’t think they could make a better tune but now the talented duo have released a remix of the track and what a remix it is.
They have managed to keep the ridiculously catchy chorus to its phenomenal vocals, but they have created another unique sound that you can instantly recognise as a Lucky Iris sound. They have managed to create something that sounds even better than the original without changing the sound too much. Making a remix is not an easy thing to do, you’ve got to be able to create a new sound to a brilliant track, a lot of people criticise remixes too but after hear this brilliant remix packed full of unique and brilliant sounds and vocals I doubt very much anyone will have a bad word to say about it.
A great remix which you can tell has been put together with a lot of care and attention to detail. It’s a little different to what I would usually listen to but I must admit I like what I was hearing and was left wanting to hear more from the talented duo.
