Hannah Rodríguez is a singer/songwriter/producer based in East London, she has recently released a new single ‘B2in1s’ which is available on all music platforms.
I got a chance to ask Hannah some questions, here’s what she had to say.
Who were your musical influences growing up?
“Growing up I listened to a variety of stuff, my parents played a lot of classic names like Bob Marley and Frank Sinatra, and we had one CD that was like a jazz album with every song by a different artist, people like Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Nina Simone etc. We always had this CD on in the car so I kinda learnt how to sing while my parents drove me around to the shops and stuff lol”.
Do you have a favourite gig?
“I’d say my best gig was when I performed at Ronnie Scott’s a couple of years ago. It was the hottest day of the year and it was soooo roasting it was actually brutal, but it was the first time I’d performed my own material with a live band so it was a VIBEEEEEE”.
Can you tell us a bit about your music?
“Sooooo I’m dropping the music video for B2in1s on Monday which is really exciting. Then following that I should be dropping another single in the new year. That tune is called Land Of Ice – I produced it myself and I’m really proud of how it turned out. Planning a waaaaavy vid for it too”.
Can you describe your music in 3 words?
“Honest, confused & tasty”.
What are your plans for the rest of 2020?
“MAKE MORE STUFF! That’s literally all I’m focusing on now, putting out the tunes I’ve already got and making more. I’ve been working on quite a lot of features this year which has been really fun but I think for the rest of the year I wanna get back to producing and writing my own stuff. My songs seem to be getting weirder and weirder so I’m interested to see what comes out”.
