Writing his first song aged 9, Stockport based singer-songwriter and guitarist Jack B. Dawson grew up experimenting with every instrument his music-tutor father could get his hands on. Now, after years of adamantly teaching himself the guitar and crafting graceful mellow indie tunes, his music has featured on the likes of BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. Jack’s live repertoire already includes notable slots around Manchester. Making appearances at shows curated by Shell Zenner, as well as having supported Clint Boon and Tom Hingley.

Jack’s latest single ‘Merry-Go-Round’ is an instant Indie Classic, from the sound to the lyrics there is nothing I didn’t like about this single, I was sold within the very first few seconds of the single.

The high energy and memorable songs instantly grabbed my attention, the unique sound packs a punch and draws you in. As I was listening to this track I was taken back to the early 00’s, the sound and way the single made me feel that I had gone back in time and I was listening to the bands I use to listen to back in the early 00’s who made me fall in love with music.

This is an impressive single, Jack has managed to create an instant memorable single that shows off his musical talents and combined classic sounds we love to hear with his own unique sounds. This was the first time I had heard from this incredible artist and it’s safe to say I was impressed with what I heard.
