Italian passion meets British quirk might be the best way to describe the genre-messy duo ‘redbook’.

Swiss-born pop-lover Soraya Grosso brings rich, soulful vocals and a mastery of Italian classics to mould around British-born guitarist Jake Tweddle, a self-diagnosed coffee addict raised on a steady diet of Punk and Folk.

Sharing a passion for the unconventional the pair found themselves playing Swiss cave-bars, shipping containers and candlelit cocktail bars before releasing their acoustic ‘Sampler’ in 2017, which they launched with a concert from their own front room. The duo have released a new single ‘Little Friend’ which is available on all music platforms.

This incredible single will grab your full attention within seconds with it’s warm, acoustic sounds combined with the delicate and beautiful vocals which creates a chilled atmosphere, it tells a story beautifully and is a joy to sit and listen too.

The lyrics will capture your imagination and I feel we can all relate to them, they draw you in and you cannot help but sit and listen to every word, they really help to make single stand out. The vocals are something that has stayed consistently strong throughout this single, combined with the careful use of harmonies helps to give this single a unique sound, it will have you hooked and will awaken every hair on the back of your neck.

The combination of instrumentals, vocals and the duo’s own unique sound makes this single one you will not forget about any time soon, there is nothing I didn’t love about this single. I was sold within the first few seconds of listening to this incredible single. They have proven they have well and truly got the knack for song writing and creating powerful songs packed full of talent and some amazing vocals.

A beautiful single packed full of talent and is such a joy to listen too.
