Ashley Stacey is a singer/songwriter from South East London. He released his debut album ‘The Sun Still Shines On You’ back in September which has received great reviews.

Ashley is set to release forthcoming EP, “The EP You Needed All These Years” which is due for release in September 2021. Ashley has today released the first single from the new EP ‘Palace Pier’ which is available to stream on all music platforms.

With it’s upbeat jangle acoustic guitars, backwards electric guitar, vox organs and Motown inspired bassline ‘Palace Pier’ will no doubt be an instant favourite of yours. The sound of this incredible single will take you back to the Mod culture, which if you are like me is a culture you grew up knowing about and hearing all the music from and is a culture you love.

The lyrics I feel tell a story that we can all relate to in one way or another, this I feel helps for a listener to connect to the song. I found after hearing this track for the first time I had the lyrics stuck in my head for the rest of the day, sometimes this is the worst thing to happen but not for me, this is a sign that I love the single.

I love how Ashley has managed to capture such an incredible culture and add the sound into a single whilst adding his own unique sound. The upbeat feel to this single is something we all need right now, we need that track that will get up tapping along or dancing around and this track is guaranteed to do both.

This single has everything I have come to expect from Ashley, relatable lyrics, a sound that will capture your attention instantly with vocals that will draw you in. This is another great single to add to an already impressive set list and is guaranteed to awaken every hair on the back of your neck.
