Manchester based Dalmas are releasing their debut EP ‘Stay’, after a succession of single releases including their monster festival anthem ‘Jhm’, which was championed by BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing Amazing Radio and XS Manchester. The 6 track EP features the new unreleased title track ‘Stay’, an in your face, punchy, stadium rock song taking influence from the likes of Rage Against The Machine, Royal Blood and Muse. Lead singer and drummer George Farrar says on the EP “this feels like a momentous moment for the band. It’s the first collection of our songs in one EP and we couldn’t be prouder, we really poured our hearts and souls into these songs and hope people can connect with them in some way”.
If you are looking for an EP to add to your playlist which is packed full of energy, phenomenal guitar riffs, almighty choruses and amazing vocals which will have you singing along than look no further. This single has everything you would want to hear from an instant memorable EP, considering this is the bands first EP it is very impressive.
It usually takes me a few listens to an EP for me to fully get into it, especially if it’s a bands debut EP, however, this was not the case when I pressed play on this EP. Within the first few seconds of listening to ‘Stay’ I was sold, the guitar riff instantly made me stop what I was doing and, listen.
It’s impossible to not listen to incredible EP from beginning to end and not fall in love with the band sound, the strong vocals, layered guitar riffs and brilliant instrumentals, you will be up on your feet dancing around as if you are at one of the bands gigs whilst you are listening to this EP. The band high energy and memorable songs instantly grabbed your attention, their unique sound packs a punch and draws you in.
It was hard for me to pick my favourite track from this EP as each track has its own anthemic sound which makes it special. If I really had to pick one it would be ‘Stay’, this single builds into a memorable track full of energy and lyrics that make you stop and listen to every word. I sat tapping along to this single and instantly had goose bumps, there was something so magical about this track.
This is an impressive EP, the band have managed to create an EP that shows off their musical talents and combined classic sounds we love to hear with their own unique sounds. It’s safe to say this track has become my favourite track from the band and has left me hoping I will be able to hear this track being played live soon.
Great job guys!
