Prime have released a new single ‘Jeff Took A Trip’, the East Midlands group’s first release since their digipak CD ‘Art/Facts’ earlier this year, of which lead track ‘To Be Or Not To Be’ scored 100,000 streams on Spotify.

‘Jeff Took A Trip’ is the new single by Prime. A story of the mysterious and handsome title character taking a trip to a Northern seaside town and “what was in his pocket” will “make him some money”. An intoxicating blend of bluesy indie rock, electronic touches and edgy, soulful vocals.

The track begins with a catchy guitar riff which will grab the listeners attention, you are then greeted with a brilliant instrumental before the phenomenal vocals begin. The sound will have you tapping along and completely gripped and listening to every single word.

The lyrics are catchy, for me they help to give this track an extra kick to really stand out to anything the listener had heard before. The vocals work so well with the tracks unique sound which for me helped me to connect with the track.

This is a track to be blasting out in the summer and to fully appreciate how good this track is, I feel you need to listen to this track with the volume turned up to the max. This is a quality song and you can tell it has been put together with a great deal of care and attention to detail and one you need to listen add to your playlist.

Great job!
