The Lost Gecko – ‘I Can Hear Echoes’

Cork-based Modern Folk Trio, The Lost Gecko, return with the second single from their upcoming EP ‘Scatterbox’. Having first released the beautiful ‘Brothers’, now they present ‘I Can Hear Echoes’, complete with a striking music video.

The intro will capture your attention within seconds as your ears are greeted to the sound of an acoustic and some modulated vocals by Malcolm which will awaken every hair on the back of your neck and helps to create a single which will have any listener hooked.

The single is a little over 3 minutes of relatable lyrics, beautiful vocals and a catchy and powerful acoustic sound. The combination of guitar with vocals is magical. It starts simply but builds and builds and is guaranteed to induce tears. I can imagine this song sounding great live especially in a small venue.

Lyrically I feel anyone would be able to release to the single, the lyrics tell a story and what I love the most about the lyrics though is it can mean something different to everybody that listens to the lyrics.

This was the first song I’ve heard from The Lost Gecko and it’s safe to say I am impressed with what I heard. The sound it right up my street, I love how they have created something that’s so powerful from a simple sound, there talent is clear to see and a joy to hear.

This track a joy to listen too from the very start, the beautiful vocals and a simple yet catchy sound that make this track a treat to listen to.
