Glitch Project’s distinctive style keeps attracting listeners time and time again, and there’s something that keeps them on people’s minds long after they’ve heard their music. It’s no different with their latest offering, ‘Wane,’ which has a measure that sticks with you.
Federica, a multi-talented singer, kicks off the release with a bang vocally. She has a tremendous vocal range that carries the song forward. Following the solo bass introduction, she quickly sends a dramatic message about things inaccurately seeming to disappear, almost like a moon that appears small from the ground but is immense in actuality. It is a thought-provoking narrative that will leave you with mind fog if you delve too deep.
Glitch Project use every aspect of their innovation as the track advances, and many of the roots are odd; hence, if you looked at the structure on paper, it would probably not work very well. When you listen to it, though, everything seems to flow naturally, which is a credit to Glitch Project’s talent. They are pushing the envelope with every new release, and it is paying off handsomely.
As the track gets towards the closing portion, it becomes more in-depth, and the energy and zest leak like a tap. It culminates in a powerful finale with hard-hitting drums and melody hooks echoing throughout the mix, as well as a whirling synth hook and a robotic vocal sample that gently places us back on earth.
