“We’re two old friends who formed an Indie Pop/Soul duo from Stockport, Manchester. After years of touring and recording in separate bands, we decided to start up our own project for a bit of fun, when we realised what we were writing was actually quality we agreed we wanted to take it to the moon and back”.

How did you all meet?

“We met at music college in Liverpool, and moved in together, frequently skipping lectures to play Xbox in our dressing gowns… After several years touring in separate bands around the UK and Europe, we decided to finally make the music we always wanted to make in early 2021”.

Who were your musical influences growing up?

(Jonny) – “Smashing Pumpkins, Rage against the machine, Radiohead and Oliver Twist”.

(Jack) – “Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, Slipknot, Vengaboys”.

What made you want to be in a band?

(Jonny) – “Watching Robbie Williams, Rock DJ as a kid”.

(Jack) – “playing guitar hero world tour with my friends. I was using the electronic drum kit, must’ve been about 11 years ago and my friend Tommee said “Jack you should start playing a proper kit” or something, he doesn’t know it but he is the reason I started playing the drums”.

What has been your best gig?

(Jonny) – “For us, we’re still in the early days of our project having just put out our debut single, but historically supporting The Libertines was the best show I’ve been involved in to date. Still buzzing to this day!”

(Jack) – “I toured around India with an ABBA tribute band a couple years ago, played drums in front of packed stadiums and was treated like royalty for the entirety, will be a hard one to beat”.

Can you tell us a bit about your music?

“Our debut single ‘Marshmallow ’is OUT NOW! And there’s plenty more music to come over the next few weeks until the release of our EP”.

Describe your music in 3 words.

“Sweet, Soulful and Sensational”.

What makes your band stand out from others?

“We don’t take ourselves too seriously, make the music that we want to make and both have ambitions to be on Master chef”.

What are your plans for the rest of 2021?

“Our debut EP is out on 12th November! So we’re going to be in the promotional campaign for that up ‘till Xmas. Then we’ll be hitting the road with some new music 2k22”.

If your band had to be remembered for one thing apart from your music what would you want it to be?

“Good hair”.

“We’ve got a homecoming show in Manchester to launch our debut Ep on 6th November!! Tickets can be found on our site, it’s gonna be a ball. A Jonny Ball..”
