Acclaimed alt-pop brother duo SAINT PHNX have unveiled their new EP, HAPPY PLACE. The EP includes the duo’s Atlantic Records label debut, “Happy Place,” as well as the standout track, “Angel.” “Angel” arrives today alongside an Alexander Kenny-directed video, starring the inspiring brothers.

Who were your musical influences growing up?

“Growing up we had so many different influences. Our parents used to play the Beatles, John Denver and The likes of Bob Dylan. Then we started to get into Bruce Springsteen, Oasis, Rage Against the Machine. Now we listen to all types of music and I like that really helps when you are trying to create something that feels fresh and new”.

Tell us about your new EP ‘Happy Place’…

“Our new E.P is a collection of songs about the last 6 months of our Dad’s life. It takes you on a journey of how he was feeling and how we were feeling during that time. It’s a tribute to him. We want to make our wee mum proud and we hope everyone likes it”.

What was it like supporting Yungblud?

“We have known Dom for a few years. He is so genuine and really wants to help. In 2019 we took our Dad on tour and the two of them hit it off. So much so that our Dad ended up singing with him on stage in Warsaw! The most incredible experience and something we will cherish forever”.

Describe your music in 3 words

“honest family love”

If SAINT PHNX could collaborate with any other artist – who would that be?

“We would love to collab with the likes of Kenrdrick Lamar or Lizzo. Something that you wouldn’t think would fit but does”.

Where do you get your inspiration from when writing songs?

“Just from real life experiences. Happy Place E.P is definitely the most honest we have been in songwriting. We poured every emotion into it. It was something that was very easy to write and helped us through a really dark time”.

If you had to be remembered for one thing apart from your music what would you want it to be?

“For making people feeling good”

Have you got any gigs coming up?

“We are heading out on tour in march across the UK and Europe. We are also playing festivals in the summer. More dates to be announced very soon!”
