Named one of BBC Introducing in the East Midlands’ most played artists of 2019 and 2020, Michael Vickers is a British singer-songwriter from Leicester. His combination of indie-rock, pop, and heartfelt, anecdotal lyrics delivered with a raw, rap inspired vocal has had audiences describing his music as “clever, captivating, beautiful, vivacious, unique and spellbinding.” Michael’s latest release is ‘Live and Acoustic’ which is available to stream on all music platforms.
On first listen, the new single is everything I expected to hear from Michael and much more, relatable lyrics and a catchy and unique sound you can’t help but fall in love with. There is no way you will be able to listen to this EP without instantly connecting to the lyrics in each track.
The combination of guitar with Michael’s vocals and a simple yet catchy acoustic sound works so well together to create an EP which is magical. It starts simply but builds and builds and is guaranteed to awaken every hair on the back of your neck. I can imagine these incredible tracks would sound great live especially in a small venue.
