Ville – Drums We were only formed last fall 2021, but all of us have played in various bands throughout our teens and adult life. So far we have released one digital EP accompanied with two music videos.

How did you all meet?

“I’ve personally known Lauri since we were very good friends and we played in the same band like 10 years ago. Ville, Lauri and Juhana are playing in another band together. Whole thing started in 2020 when Lauri was gathering players to play a Turbonegro cover gig at a local turbojugend-fanclub party. Obviously that didn’t happen, so after a while, Ville suggested that we could start to play some kind of mixture of metal and hardcore. So here we are”.

Who were your musical influences growing up?

“I remember my first touch to music was actually Michael Jackson’s History when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, and I remember the feeling and the goosebumps very well. Iron Maiden was the first band that made me want to start playing guitar and after that came bands like slipknot, children of bodom, in flames etc. a bit more extremish metal. So there it is”.

What made you want to be in a band?

“Iron Maiden”.

What has been your best gig?

“Probably the first one we played last June in our hometown. The anticipation and the excitement was there, and the show was just pure pleasure and sweat in a packed venue”.

Can you tell us a bit about your music?

“Aggressive, authentic yet very melodic metal. Everything that we do, comes straight from the heart and we have expanded our musical borders with the next release compared to the first one, but the root sound is still very much based in modern hardcore. Our next release is currently in mixing, and we are shooting a music video for the single release. Planned release date is somewhere in march, but it will be agreed with the promotion agencies as well as when we have a clue for the physical pressings (Vinyl, CD and cassette)”.

Describe your music in 3 words.

“Aggressive, authentic, melodic”.

What makes your band stand out from others?

“We are not reinventing the wheel, or not even trying but doing the best we possibly can and what makes ourselves excited. Attitude and the amount of work towards making music, and trying to get it heard. So far so good”.

What are your plans for the rest of 2022?

“Getting the release schedule finalized as well as booking shows for next year in Finland. Hopefully we are also able to play outside of Finland very soon”.

If your band had to be remembered for one thing apart from your music what would you want it to be?

“The attitude”.

Any gig’s coming up?

“2023 yes. They will be informed once everything is set to go”.
