We’re a 4 piece indie band from Leicester, we’ve been a band for about 7 months, but I’ve been writing songs for a while.

How did you get into music?

I played guitar for years, I ended up at Gazelles first ever gig, and in a drunken haze took it upon myself to give songwriting a go

Who were your musical influences growing up?

The Enemy, The Libertines, The Stone Roses and Oasis, a lot of British guitar music

How do you find the writing process?

I never know when I’m gonna write a song or what it’s gonna be about. I could try for ages and have nothing, then pick up a guitar a day later and write a masterpiece, there’s no in-between.

What has been your best gig?

Definitely the most recent one, first gig as a full band, it absolutely went off. People down the front belting out songs that have only been put out as demos, people in the middle going mental, unreal atmosphere.

Can you tell us a bit about your music?

The debut EP we’ve got coming out is definitely a case of not reinventing the wheel, it’s putting it on a fast car with no brakes

Describe your music in 3 words.

Raw. Original. Bop.

What makes your music stand out from others?

I’ve gotta lend myself to my voice and my accent, everything that gets sung is completely within the way I’d say it. It really helps the band have all sorts of different influences, which helps how we show ourselves live, because you’re not always gonna get a complete recreation of a studio song you’re always gonna get that and something more on top.

What are your plans for the rest of 2023?

The EP release takes priority, other than that just gig as much as possible here there and everywhere.

If you had to be remembered for one thing apart from your music what would you want it to be?

I had no clue how to answer this, so I asked some outside sources and the most common answer was drunken shenanigans, so I’ll go with that

Any gig’s coming up?

The next one will be the 4th of March at the Steel Park Clubhouse in Corby, that’s supporting Missing Andy and The Barratts, then there’s talks of Sheffield on the 18th of March and Birmingham as well.
